Country-clothing.com is not Bonart

Q1. You seem to only sell Bonart clothing. Are you the same firm by another name?
A1. Err... NO! Most certainly not. We are part of ADVANCE MICRO COMPUTERS LTD and we are mail order retailers, just the same as any other mail order retailer. Our mail order division is long established (1987) and we currently run a number of mail order e-shops. They are not "run on behalf of" any other company or in association with any other company. We have absolutely nothing to do with other mail order companies local to us, including those on this industrial estate. I will say it again. We are NOT any of these other companies.

We are authorised Bonart resellers and our business relationship with Bonart is the same as any other retailer. They happen to be on the same industrial estate as us but that's all. And in the future, we will expand the range to include other clothing & footwear manufacturers.

Why is AMC selling mail order

Q2. What is a computer services company doing selling clothing? It seems a bit odd!
A2. Well ADVANCE MICRO COMPUTERS helps businesses create their own e-shops. We provide consultancy & help, we have our own servers and we are authorised resellers of Actinic which is a long established and easy to use e-commerce software package. So it isn't so odd to use the products and services that we sell to customers for our own sites. It's called "diversity" and many companies do it. After all, Virgin was originally a record company but now runs an airline, trains, is a mobile phone operator etc, etc.

Order Acknowledgements

Q3. I received your Order Acknowledgment straightaway. Why haven't you sent my order?
A3. The order acknowledgment email is sent automatically by our shopping cart system and just confirms that it has recorded your order. It doesn't mean that your card details are absolutely correct or that all goods are in stock or that we've shipped your order! That has to wait for human intervention!

Card payments

Q4. I think you've debited my card and you've told me that my goods are now not available.. Can I have my money back?
A4. The Order Acknowledgement does NOT mean your card has been debited. It hasn't. Credit card companies do not allow their vendors to debit cards unless the goods are ready for despatch. We only debit your card when your order is packed up and ready for despatch.

Payment Problems

Q5. I've placed an order, it displays in the black box the Items Ordered and the Cart Value. Then my order disappears. What's going on? Do you want my order or not?
A5. You've either got cookies disabled or probably something like Zone Alarm Professional installed with it's cookie deleting "feature" enabled. That means it automatically detects cookies & splats them. Cookies have had a bad press. We just use them to keep track of the order and nothing else. If you've got Zone Alarm, just tell it to ignore cookies from www.country-clothing.com. Yes, I would like your order <GRIN>.

All about Hat Sizes

Q6. What are the Hat sizes? How do I measure my head?
A6. Hat Sizing: An average head size for a man is 58 cms in European Sizing or 7 1/8 UK sizing and 7 1/4 US sizing. The average head size for a lady is 55 cms. Probably the largest head size you will ever find, will be 64cms and the smallest 51cms.

Head sizes and shapes differ from country to country with the smallest heads being in the Far Eastern countries and the largest in Germany. With regards to shape, these can be either very round or oval, with the far eastern countries having a rounder head and the western countries tending to have a more oval shape.

How to measure your head

Take a measuring tape and place it around the circumference of the head, slightly above the ears.
